Kanadevia Inova at COP 30: Sharing our message on affordable and circular waste infrastructure with the world
Swiss-based green-tech leader will contribute to critical discussions on waste management infrastructure in the Blue Zone at COP 30, the United Nations conference on climate change, which will be held in the Brazilian city of Belem on Nov. 10-21, 2025.
Zurich, Switzerland — Kanadevia Inova, a global leader in solutions for the energy transition and circular economy, will take part in critical discussions on waste management infrastructure at the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil.
The Swiss-based company is a global market leader in the development, operation and service of affordable waste to energy and biogas plants and systems, employing more than 3,500 people in 17 countries and with a track record of more than 1,600 reference projects.
In Brazil, high-level Kanadevia Inova representatives have been invited to contribute their voice to discussions on the role of sustainable and affordable waste management infrastructure in climate change mitigation.
Kanadevia Inova is a subsidiary of Kanadevia Corporation, based in Osaka, Japan. The centrepiece of Kanadevia Group participation will be a seminar by President and CEO of Kanadevia Corporation, Michi Kuwahara, hosted by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment and co-hosted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) on November 12th.
Kanadevia Corporation will further have an exhibition in the Japanese government pavilion entitled: “Fully Utilizing Waste as a Resource to Decarbonise our Lives Globally”.

There will additionally be a live webinar from the International Solid Waste Association on November 18 with the participation of Kanadevia Inova and discussing the COP 30 agenda, activities and potential results.
Humanity’s treatment of municipal solid waste and organic waste has risen to the top of the global climate change agenda in recent years as societies begin to acknowledge the staggering contribution of the methane and carbon emissions from waste towards potentially irreversible atmospheric pollution and warming.
Kanadevia Inova aims to be at the forefront of decarbonising national waste infrastructures: The company was recently given Notice-To-Proceed instructions to build the first full-scale carbon capture project at a UK waste to energy facility.
And earlier this year the company launched an asset management arm investing in biogas plants throughout Europe and beyond.
