The Jönköping biogas plant, completed in 2020, uses Kompogas® dry anaerobic digestion and downstream biogas treatment to process regional biowaste and provide buses and garbage trucks in the city of Jönköping with upgraded biogas in the form of bio-CNG. The organic fertiliser produced in the process is used in local agriculture and thus ensures a practical circular economy.
Jönköping was Kanadevia Inova's second DBOO project after San Luis Obispo. As the owner, Kanadevia Inova took on the design, construction and operation of the plant. The majority of the project financing was provided by Kanadevia Inova together with the Swedish Green Investment Fund “Klimatklivet”.
